211.1. The term of office of municipalities shall be 5 years.

211.2. The term of office of municipalities shall commence from Voting Day, and end on the day of first meeting of newly elected municipalities.

211.3. The powers of members of a municipality shall be in force only during the term of office of the municipality.

211.4. if there are less than 6 months left to regular municipal elections, in cases implied by Article 243.0.2 of this Code, as well as, elections to newly established, merged, separated or untimely dismissed municipalities shall be held during the regular municipal elections.

211.5. When there are more than 6 months left to regular municipal elections, as well as, term of office of the municipalities formed at the result of elections, as well as, in cases implied by Article 243.0.2 of this Code, to newly established, merged, separated or untimely dismissed municipalities, shall end on the first day of meeting of the municipalities formed at the result of new regular municipal elections.
