357.1. The provisions included in this Book aim to regulate the independent candidatures for President of the United Mexican States, representatives and senators of the Congress of the Union by the principles of plurality, in terms of the provisions of section II of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States.

357.2. The legislatures of the states will issue the corresponding regulations, in the terms of the provisions of subsection p) of section IV of article 116 of the Constitution.
