§ 1. The allocation of the seats of the senators appointed by the Flemish Parliament is based on the total number of votes obtained by a political alliance in all of the electoral constituencies on the occasion of the elections of the Flemish Parliament.

§ 2. The allocation of the seats of the senators appointed by the Parliament of the French Community, the Walloon Parliament and the francophone group of the Brussels Regional Parliament is based on the total number of votes obtained by a political alliance in all of the electoral constituencies on the occasion of the elections of the Walloon Parliament and the election for the francophone group of the Brussels Regional Parliament.
