Closure of the Voters’ Register

(1) The voters’ register shall be closed by the local authority of the municipality not later than the day before the election but not earlier than the third day before the election. Upon closure, the local authority shall ascertain the number of persons eligible to vote in the polling district. Closure shall be certified in accordance with the specimen at Annex 8. If an automated process is used to maintain the voters’ register, a print-out must be produced prior to certification.

(2) Voters’ registers of two or more municipalities or parts of municipalities which are combined to form one polling area shall be combined by the local authority administering the election in the polling district to form the voters’ register of the polling district and then closed.
