The newly elected President and Vice President shall take the oath of office referred to in Article 76 (2) of the Constitution three days prior to the expiry of the credentials of the incumbent President and Vice President. The newly elected President and Vice President shall assume office as from the day of expiry of the credentials of the incumbent President and Vice President.
