Article 9. Obligatory Nature of Elections Elections of the bodies or deputies specified in Clause 1, Article 8 of this Federal Law shall be obligatory, periodic and conducted at intervals set forthestablished by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, federal laws, the constitutions (charters), laws of subjects of the Russian Federation, and the charters of municipalities.
