Complaints concerning elections

If a voter wishes to present a complaint on the grounds that a person elected to the Althing did not meet the requirements regarding candidacy, or that an electoral list was put forward illegally, or an electoral list received votes in a way that makes it necessary to annul the election, the voter shall submit his or her complaint in two copies to the Ministry of Justice within four weeks of the announcement of the results of the election; this must be done before the next Althing convenes. The Ministry of Justice shall then immediately send one duplicate to the agents of the electoral list and the other duplicate shall be presented to the Althing as soon as it convenes.
