(1) As soon as possible and not later than immediately after the closing date for handing in announcements of candidature shall the registration authority examine the validity of the duly received forms . If the registration authority finds that a form should be declared invalid on account of material deficiencies, the registration authority shall inform the candidate or contact person stated in the form accord ingly without delay. Not later than 12 hours subsequent to due notifica tion may a new registration form be submitted in respect of the candidate or the deficiencies be remedied. The registration authority shall then decide on the vali dity of the announcement form. The decision shall be communicated to the candidate in writing.
