The draft law provides for some rules on the financing of political parties. These regulations are a welcome effort; in this context, it is essential that all different aspects, including the prevention of corruption, relating to financing of political parties are considered. Otherwise, the impact of specific regulations limiting expenditures of political parties, their assessment and the transparency requirements would be weakened in practice.
