These provisions show that Turkey belongs to the countries where parliamentary inviolability is guaranteed by the Constitution. As the Amendment did not remove these provisions, it can be concluded that the constituent power in Turkey proceeds from the assumption that this specific guarantee is still pertinent and necessary in the country, having regard to the state of its democracy and the degree of trust in the independence and impartiality of its judiciary.
