To be eligible, one must: 1° to be Belgian; 2° to enjoy civil and political rights; 3° to be at least eighteen years old; 4° to be domiciled in Belgium. No other eligibility conditions may be required. Transitional provision

Paragraph 1 (3) enters into force on the day of the elections for the full renewal of the Community and Regional Parliaments in 2014. Up to that day, without prejudice to Article 64 (1), 1°, 2° and 4°, it is necessary to be aged at least twenty-one years old.
