Article 11
 

The law, the decree or the rule referred to in Article 134 guarantee women and men equal exercise of their rights and freedoms, and in particular promote their equal access to elective and public offices.


The Council of Ministers and the Community and Regional Governments have people of different sexes.


The law, decree or rule referred to in Article 134 shall provide for the presence of persons of different sexes in the permanent deputies of provincial councils, colleges of mayors and aldermen, social welfare councils, permanent public welfare centers and in the executives of any other interprovincial, supracommunal, intercommunal or intracommunal territorial body.


The preceding paragraph does not apply where the law, the decree or the rule referred to in section 134 provides for the direct election of the permanent deputies of provincial councils, aldermen, members of the council of social assistance, members of the permanent office of the public welfare centers or members of the executives of any other interprovincial, supracommunal, inter-municipal or intracommunal territorial body.
