Article 43
 

§ 1st. For the cases determined in the Constitution, the elected members of the House of Representatives are divided into a French language group and a Dutch language group, as determined by law.


§ 2. For the cases determined in the Constitution, senators, with the exception of the senator designated by the Parliament of the German-speaking Community, are divided into a French language group and a Dutch language group.


Senators referred to in Article 67, § 1, 2 ° to 4 ° and 7 °, form the French language group of the Senate. Senators referred to in Article 67, § 1, 1 ° and 6 °, form the Dutch language group of the Senate.


Transitional provision


This section comes into force on the day of the elections for renewal Community and Regional Parliaments in 2014.


To date, the following provisions apply:


"§ 1. For the cases determined in the Constitution, the elected members of each Chamber are divided into a French language group and a Dutch language group, in the manner determined by law.


§ 2. Senators referred to in Article 67, §1, 2 °, 4 ° and 7 °, form the French language group of the Senate. Senators referred to in Article 67, § 1, 1 °, 3 ° and 6 °, form the Dutch language group of the Senate.
