It would appear that the draft law aims to improve the existing system by focusing mainly on the disclosure of information on political parties, financial auditing by auditors and the responsibility of parties to comply with the stricter rules. This is good in itself, but external oversight by an independent body is also a necessary feature. The information obtained by the rapporteurs seems to indicate clearly that the financial oversight of political parties has so far been less than satisfactory; it is therefore recommended that more comprehensive measures be introduced to make the oversight more effective.
