Immunity of candidates for MP of Georgia

1. A candidate for MP of Georgia shall not be detained, arrested, or searched until the CEC officially publishes final electionresults, while a person announced by the CEC as an elected MP of Georgia shall not be detained, arrested, or searched until thefinal decision is made about the recognition of his/her authority, unless the CEC approves an application filed by the ChiefProsecutor of Georgia. An exception shall be the case in which a candidate is caught in the act of committing a crime, which shallbe immediately reported to the CEC. If the CEC issues an ordinance, the detained or arrested candidate for MP of Georgia shall bereleased immediately.

2. The CEC ordinance for giving its approval as referred to in this article shall be put to vote within three calendar days after filingof an application by the Chief Prosecutor of Georgia.
