Effects of merger by absorption

With respect to applications for registration of a pact for merger by absorption, once any defects have been remedied, the Electoral Registry shall order a single publication in La Gaceta, the official gazette, of an extract of the pact so that objections can be filed within the following ten working days. At the expiry of this deadline, the said Electoral Registry shall take the appropriate decision. If the application for registration is approved, the deregistration of the absorbed political parties shall be ordered and only the registration of the surviving party shall be retained.
