Other countries use solely multi-member constituencies. These often coincide with existing subnational entities or administrative constituencies which are also used for other purposes. The advantage of using existing multi-member constituencies is that it reduces the need to redraw the constituencies because it is possible to reassign seats to constituencies. There are large differences in the size of the multi-member constituencies that are used.
