Conduct of Early Presidential Elections

179.1. Early Presidential Elections shall be held if the term of office of the President finishes before the period provided for in the Constitution, under the circumstances considered by Article 104 of the Constitution, also in a case when President declares according to the second sentence of the part I of Article 101 of the Constitution. If the cases implied by Article 104 of the Constitution happen after the date is set for the next regular Presidential Elections, the next regular elections shall be stopped and a date shall be set for early Presidential Elections.

179.2. Elections shall be set and conducted within 60 days by the Central Election Commission on the Wednesday within a period no later than a week since the day that the Constitutional Court or the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan adopted a relevant decisio in accordance with Articles 104 and 107 of the Constitution, also when President declares early Presidential Elections according to the second sentence of the part I of Article 101 of the Constitution.
