(1) Not later than by 12 noon ten days prior to election day a party whose candidates in the multimember constituency are listed individually in all nomination districts in the multimember constituency may announce, for the relevant multimember constituency, that the party votes in the multimember constituency shall go to none of the party's candidates in the multimember constituency. The announcement may be made when the election has been called or after.

(2) The announcements under subsection (1) shall be made in writing to the National Social Appeals Board.
