Paragraph 89

In Greece for example, paid state officials, state officials working in the municipal and city companies or institutions, who work in a sector of public interest cannot be nominated or elected in any district in which they have worked for at least three months in the past three years prior to the elections. The same limitation of the ineligibility principle also applies to the secretary generals in the ministries who have been in this position for at least four months during their four-year term. The principle of non-eligibility also refers to professional soldiers and members of the police force.
