The Venice Commission considers that codes of good practice and ethical standards – particularly with regard to electoral administration and electoral disputes – should be identified and incorporated materials should be readily available to public servants. The importance of respecting the role of the opposition in a democratic parliament has also to be highlighted. It could be looked upon as a first important step against misuse of political power.
