Paragraph 8

In many states the Constitution or the electoral law does not precisely determine the date of the ordinary elections, but they contain a fairly strict temporal framework in which the decision on the date of the elections will have to be taken. This framework holds three elements: a. it determines the authority that will have to decide on the date of the elections b. it determines the period in which the decision has to be taken; c. it determines the period in which the elections will have to be held.
