In parliamentary republics, such as Albania and Greece, with a president that is elected by Parliament, the Parliament can be dissolved if, after a certain number of votes, no candidate obtains the required majority. In these States the election of the President is deemed to be one of the major functions the Parliament has to fulfill. If it fails to do so, the electorate will have the choose another Parliament.
