Reference is also made to the Constitution of Turkey. As indicated above, however, the decisions by the SEC have been challenged before the Constitutional Court (with a decision as to admissibility awaited) and the Commission does not purport to assess the substantive effect of Turkish law, confining its analysis, instead, to general principles of international law.
