Considering that personal data for the information they reveal relating to political opinions falls within the scope of special categories of data under Art. 6 of the Convention 108+, this type of processing is subject to stricter regime. Data controller in both electoral and political advertising context shall process this type of personal data in compliance with the additional appropriate safeguards enshrined in law.
