A citizen of Ukraine who has the right to vote in accordance with Article 70 of the Constitution of Ukraine may be elected a local council member or a village, settlement or city mayor.
A citizen of Ukraine, who has a criminal record for committing a grave or especially grave crime or a crime against citizens’ electoral rights or a corruption crime, unless this criminal record has been lifted or expunged pursuant to the procedure established by the Law, may not be elected a local council member or a village, settlement or city mayor.
