Election of the only candidate as President

If only one presidential candidate is nominated by the expiration of the set time limit, this candidate shall be elected President without an election. The constituency electoral committee of Helsinki shall notify the Government of the matter without delay. After having declared that the candidate is elected President of the Republic, the Government shall notify the candidate of this in writing and issue a public notice of the matter to be published in the Statute Book of Finland.
