In most of the counties examined the minimum age requirement is established at the age of 18, while minimum age requirement for the right to be voted varies. With regard to this, we emphasise the Venice Commission recommendation that “the right to stand for election should preferably be acquired at the same age as the right to vote and in any case not later than the age of 25...”
