It should be noted that private print media are generally entitled to a larger degree of partisanship than public print media and broadcasting media. Usually private print media are not bound to specific election regulations concerning the allocation of space among electoral contenders. However, journalists from private print media should adhere to professional standards and ethics, too (CD-AD(2009)31, para 58).
