Appeal in the case of parliamentary elections


(1) Any person who is entitled to vote may appeal against matters relating to the preparation and conduct of the parliamentary election in the constituency in which the person in question is included in the register of electors. Where the appeal relates to questions concerning the right to vote or the possibility of casting a vote, a person who has not been included in the register of electors also has the right of appeal.


(2) Any appeal must be brought within seven days after Election Day. An appeal against the County Electoral Committee’s determination of the election result must be brought within seven days after the result of the election has been determined.


(3) The appeal shall be in writing and shall be addressed to the Electoral Committee, the County Electoral Committee, the County Governor, the Ministry or the Administration of the Storting.


(4) The Storting is the appeal body for appeals concerning the right to vote or the right to cast a vote. The National Election Committee shall make a statement to the Storting on the appeals case. The National Election Committee is the appeal body for other appeals. The National Election Committee shall forward its decisions on the appeal cases to the Storting.
