Second round of elections and re-run elections
1. If none of the candidates receives the necessary number of votes defined by Article 149(1) of this Law in the Sakrebulo elections conducted through the majoritarian electoral system, the second round of elections shall be called. The two candidates that have received more votes than others shall participate in the second round of elections. If more than two candidates have the same best result, or several candidates following the candidate with one best result have received the equal number of votes, all the candidates shall participate in the second round of elections.
2. The second round (second rounds) of Sakrebulo elections shall be called by the CEC along with the summarisation of the first round results. The second round (second rounds) of Sakrebulo elections shall be conducted on the 4th Saturday from Sakrebulo elections.
3. A candidate who received more votes shall be deemed elected in the second round of elections. If the candidates have received the equal number of votes, the candidate who received more votes in the first round shall be deemed elected. If these numbers of votes are also the same, the candidate who has passed the registration earlier shall be deemed the winner.
4. If the registration of one or both of the candidates that have gone in the second round of elections is cancelled, or if a candidate died, re-run elections shall be conducted 2 months later. The date of re-run elections shall be called by the CEC within 3 days after the aforementioned fact occurs.
