Paragraph 144

In addition, the proposed extended timeline of 60 days for holding a dismissal referendum, while not unreasonable, appears to conflict with Article 89.3 of the Constitution, which requires that a national referendum is organised within 30 days after a motion to suspend is adopted. The question of including the extended deadline should be carefully weighed concerning the principle of legality. This change should be enacted in the Constitution before it is incorporated into the Electoral Code.
