The law does not explicitly provide for individual candidates in parliamentary elections. In order for a person to run independently they would still have to collect 10.000 support signatures and register a list of with only one candidate. This is an undue burden that runs counter to the aims of international standards and commitments on electoral participation either independently or as party of a political party.
