The municipal electoral commission shall:

1. ensure the legality of elections to the municipal council;


2. confirm individual candidacies or lists of candidates, and compose a list of candidates and lists of candidates;


3. determine polling stations;


4. appoint electoral committees;


5. determine the results of the voting and declare which members of the municipal council have been elected, and issue a report on the results of the elections;


6. carry out and directly conduct technical work relating to elections;


7. perform other tasks determined by this Act.
