Co-operation of electoral commissions and the Police 

1.Central and regional bodies of the Police, their services and subdivisions shall be obliged to ensure the smooth process of elections, the unimpeded activities of electoral commissions and the members thereof. The police shall maintain due order during election related events, providesupport to the commissions upon request of the chairperson of electoral commission, ensure safe transportation and maintenance of election related documents at electoral commissions.
