MOLDOVA - Joint Opinion on Amendments to the Electoral Code and other Related Laws Concerning Ineligibility of Persons Connected to Political Parties Declared Unconstitutional
The latter requirement must be read together with the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights, which accepted a voting ban that applied only to persons convicted of certain well-determined offences or to a custodial sentence exceeding a statutory threshold.
