(1) (Suppl. - SG 106/23) Eligible for election to the National Assembly shall be any Bulgarian citizen who does not hold another citizenship, is above the age of 21, is not under a judicial interdiction, and is not serving a prison sentence. Eligible for a member of parliament can be any Bulgarian citizen who has another citizenship if he has lived in the country for the last eighteen months.

(2) A candidate for a National Assembly seat holding a state post shall resign upon the registration of his candidacy.
