Opening and closing of early-voting polls.
[For parliamentary and municipal elections, early voting shall start 29 days before polling day, and 23 days before polling day where parliamentary elections are held following a notice of dissolution of parliament. For presidential elections, early voting shall start when the National Electoral Commission has announced the candidates on the ballot, cf. Article 50. Early voting in referendums shall commence as soon as possible after the polling day is announced.] 1) [District commissioners shall ensure in their respective districts that early voting is available in at least one polling station for a minimum of four hours] 1) on polling day, but outside Iceland it shall end on the day before polling day.
