Announcement and publication of results
[The National Electoral Commission allocates parliamentary seats in accordance with Articles 109–112 and prepares an election results report on the results of the elections, the allocation of parliamentary seats in the elections to the Althingi and a list of MPs and deputy MPs by constituencies. The National Electoral Commission shall also prepare an election results report on the results of elections in each constituency separately once the changes by voters of the order of candidates have been taken into account. The results shall be published on the National Electoral Commission’s website.] 1)
Immediately after it has allocated parliamentary seats according to Articles 109-112, the National Electoral Commission shall notify the elected MPs and deputy MPs of the results and that they have been elected to the Althingi. [The announcement may be sent to the digital mailbox of the government, cf. the Act on the Digital Mailbox in the Central Service Portal of the Government.] 1)
As soon as the notification under [paragraph 2] 1) has been sent out, the National Electoral Commission shall inform the Ministry of the election results and send the names of the elected MPs and deputy MPs for publication in the Government Gazette.
