If there is no next candidate on the list from the first paragraph of the previous article, by-elections are held.
By-elections are also held if, in the case referred to in the first paragraph of the previous article, the mandate of a member of parliament ends because he resigned earlier than within six months of the confirmation of his mandate.
By-elections are also held if the mandate of a member of the national community ends.
By-elections are not held if the term of office of a deputy ends less than six months before the end of the term of office of the National Assembly, unless the National Assembly decides otherwise.
In by-elections, a member of parliament is elected for the time until the end of the term of office of the National Assembly.
