The candidate for deputy of the Italian or Hungarian national community is determined by signatures of voters, members of the Italian or Hungarian national community. The number of required signatures amounts to at least 1.5% of the number of voters, members of the Italian or Hungarian national community, who had the right to vote for a deputy of the Italian or Hungarian national community in the last elections.

The National Electoral Commission shall publish on its website the number of voters - members of the Italian or Hungarian national community who had the right to vote for a member of the Italian or Hungarian national community at the last election - at the latest on the day after the day set for the start of the electoral process.
