Article 109
 

(1) During the operation of electoral bureaus and offices, the public authorities and institutions where the persons referred to in Article 109 ensures the payment of salary rights, secondment allowances, as well as any other daily allowances and monetary rights due under the law.


(2) Receiving the allowance determined in accordance with Article 109 paragraph (2) shall not affect the right to receive other daily allowances, allowances, pensions or other pecuniary rights due under some special laws.


(3) The members of the electoral bureaus of the polling stations in the country and their computer operators shall have the right to receive, upon request, a paid day off from work, on the day following the voting day, based on the certificate issued to this effect by the county electoral bureau, the electoral bureau of the Sector of the Municipality of Bucharest or the Permanent Electoral Authority, where appropriate.


(4) Upon request, the members of the electoral bureaus of the polling stations abroad shall receive certificates from the presidents of the electoral bureaus of the polling stations abroad attesting the activity carried out in the polling station.


(5) The funds necessary to cover the travel expenses for the participation in the electoral process of the presidents of the electoral bureaus of the polling stations abroad, of their alternates, as well as of the members of the electoral bureaus for the polling stations abroad proposed by the heads of diplomatic missions and consular offices shall be provided from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,  within the limits provided by Government Decision no. 518/1995 regarding certain rights and obligations of Romanian personnel sent abroad to fulfill temporary missions, as subsequently amended and supplemented.
