(1) The Minister for the Interior and Health assigns to the parties entitled to participate in European elections, see section 10, a letter designation which is to be used for listing the parties in ballot papers. In this assignment due consideration should be given to preserving the same letter designations of the parties as applied in previous elections if at all possible.

(2) The assigned letters are to be published in the Official Gazette in connection with the announcement of approved lists of candidates, see section 24(1).
