While it is understandable that such broader reforms have not been initiated in the meantime, less than one year before the upcoming parliamentary elections of October 2024, it is however worrying that a number of important recommendations have still not been addressed and that elections will again been held on the basis of a legal framework which is still affected by a number of shortcomings.
