Electronic voting, use of digital technologies
Digital technologies may contribute to the security of elections. However, they are no panacea and represent new challenges to elections, especially when taking into account the quickly and constantly evolving nature of the security threats involved. Their introduction should take place gradually and ideally after appropriate risk assessment and feasibility studies.
