Under Article 35(6) and (7) of the Law, the Government and CEC “within 3 months from the date of the publication of this law” shall make proposals to the Parliament on the amendments needed to implement this law or approve normative acts. This will not take place before June or July 2024. Amendments to primary legislation would not be appropriate in such a short time frame. As for secondary legislation, it should be adopted before the electoral process stricto sensu starts – that is before the registration of candidates.
