The trial is limited to six countries (Article 35(2) of the Law) with a relatively low percentage of the Moldovan population abroad. These countries would also fit the general criteria for postal voting in Article 8(1), concerning the lack of polling stations and long distances. For example, there is only a joint Moldovan embassy for Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Iceland, located in Stockholm.
