By letter of 16 April 2024, Ms Zanda Kalnina-Lukasevica, the President of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, requested an Opinion of the Venice Commission on amendments to the Election Code as adopted by the Georgian Parliament on 4 April 2024, which abolish gender quotas.
