(1) The ballot papers shall be placed at the local election office, and shall be retained until destroyed in such a manner that unauthorised persons cannot access them. If there is a criminal proceeding regarding election results, the ballot papers concerned shall be retained until the case is closed with final and binding effect.
(2) The first copy of the minutes shall be handed over to the National Archives of Hungary after ninety days.
