1. The CEC Secretariat shall keep confidential all candidate information submitted to the CEC in
compliance with this law and CEC rules, until after the candidate is certified by the CEC, except
when the CEC Secretariat shall provide all law enforcement agencies with any information that
those organizations require for the purpose of election security.

2. Once a candidate is certified, the CEC may disclose that person’s personal data only as
permitted under the relevant law.

3. If a candidate is not certified by the CEC, the CEC Secretariat shall not disclose any of the
candidate’s personal data.
